Houses

At SSVM Public School, our unique house system serves as the foundation for fostering unity, camaraderie, and holistic development among our students. With a student body of 1300, we ensure equitable distribution and opportunities by dividing them into four distinct houses, each with its own name and color, deeply rooted in Hindu culture.

The first house, Shkumtalam, is represented by the bold color red. Named after a Sanskrit term, Shkumtalam symbolizes passion, courage, and determination. Students in this house are encouraged to embrace challenges, strive for excellence, and lead by example.

In the realm of Megdutam, our second house, students immerse themselves in exploration and creativity under the calming shade of blue. Megdutam fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and imaginative expression, nurturing well-rounded individuals.

Vishvmitram, our third house, radiates warmth and friendship with its vibrant yellow hue. Named after the Sanskrit term meaning “friend of the world,” Vishvmitram promotes inclusivity, empathy, and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of building strong interpersonal connections.

Raghuvansham, our fourth house, flourishes in the refreshing green color, drawing inspiration from the legendary Raghu dynasty. Raghuvansham embodies resilience, growth, and harmony with nature, encouraging students to nurture their talents and embrace environmental stewardship.

Through inter-house competitions, events, and activities, our students learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership, enriching their educational journey beyond the confines of the classroom. The house system at SSVM Public School empowers students to thrive as individuals and contribute positively to the school community and society at large.
